August 07 No Victoria for Paula We were delighted to learn this week that Paula Abdul had done herself in by getting removed from "American Idol." We are in love with the doe-eyed Kara DioGuardi and with Paula out, perhaps -- we hoped against hope -- the show would become more serious about performance and singing. However, our hope was shattered, this week, when news broke that Victoria Beckham would be appearing on the show as a judge. Ugh! We believe Victoria Beckham is a no-talent who married for money and fame. Unfortunately, with the British producing American Idol for a United States audience, the Brits mistakenly believe we love the Beckhams as much as they do -- but we don't. We loathe the spoiled couple and we cheer their every failure in the colonies. Let American Idol breathe freedom again: Leave us with three judges and the hope that, this time, the best singer will actually win the charade. TrackbacksWeblogs that reference this entry
